This reducer cap is a sterile single-patient-use device. It is designed to snap into the open end of an Endopath 10/11mm and 10/12mm Trocar sleeve housing. The main body is made of molded plastic and contains a self-adjusting seal, accommodating instruments ranging from 5mm to 12mm diameter where indicated. Once the cap is attached, an instrument (smaller diameter than the Trocar) can be inserted without loss of pneumoperitoneum. Latches ensure that the reducer cap is held securely in place during insertion. The reducer cap is easily removed by pulling or pushing up on its side.
