Mepilex® Border Flex is designed to be used on challenging areas of the body. Its oval shape allows the dressing to adapt to the contours of the body. This shape better distributes forces along the dressing's borders and increases the dressing's ability to stay in place. The Flex technology allows the dressing to better stretch and conform. This is advantageous on difficult-to-dress areas like joints and bony prominences.

Mepilex® Border Flex is designed for treating pressure ulcers, foot ulcers and leg ulcers. Its 5-layer, absorbent foam, with Safetac® technology, effectively absorbs and retains exudate.  The dressing maintains a moist wound environment while minimizing maceration by sealing the wound margins. so that exudate does not spread to the surrounding skin5,6,7. This creates optimal conditions for healing and wound closure.

Safetac® technology gently adheres to the skin without sticking to the wound bed. This minimizes damage to the wound and surrounding, intact skin by sealing the wound margins.3,7. Because Safetac technology is atraumatic upon removal, newly formed tissue is protected and the patient is spared unnecessary pain at dressing changes which allows for optimized healing and lower overall costs.
